About me

Lyndsey Pennington

I am a certified clinical, remedial and sports massage therapist  with a BTEC Level 5 Professional Diploma in Soft Tissue Therapy and Remedial Massage from the London School of Sports Massage (LSSM). As a graduate of LSSM I am also a member of the Institute of Sport and Remedial Massage (ISRM)

Whilst working towards my diploma I decided the direction I wanted to go was towards Pilates as a means to help people prevent injuries rather than just treat them. I am now a STOTT certified Pilates matwork instructor and I really want to go on to do my Pilates reformer instructor course in the future. For more information on Pilates and how it can help you then check out the section on Pilates. I think it is amazing and has completely changed the way I train myself.

I also have a BSc(hons) Sport Studies and Coaching Science and have worked in fitness for over 20 years. I qualified as a personal trainer in 2001 but I've always wanted to be able to help people on a different level and work with them to recover from injuries and improve postural function.

By combining my knowledge of both soft tissue therapy, Pilates and personal training I am able to both treat soft tissue problems but also help with injury rehabilitation by giving exercises and advice to get you back to fitness.

In my spare time I enjoy running and weight training. I've run 2 marathons, as well as other distanceroad and trail events, but my real love is obstacle course racing and try to do a few of these each year.

Additional learning through CPD courses and workshops I've completed.
